It all starts in the mind.
The battle of life starts in the mind. The thoughts we choose to focus on will grow and become our reality. More than ever before, it is imperative for us to guard our minds and guard our thought life jealously!
When you start to slide down the “I can’t seem to do anything right” or “I always make mistakes”, or “No one loves me” or “There’s just something wrong with me” or any other negative path; there is an active battle in your mind. There are only two choices from there: you can accept the thought or you can apply the brakes and tell your mind – DON’T GO THERE!
The mind is the battlefield where the devil wins or loses. Any idea – good or bad – that is nurtured in the place of thought will progress and become a physical reality. That is why the mind is the battlefield where the devil tries to take control of our lives.
When we make Jesus the center of our lives, we can stop every attack by taking every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ.
Direct all the thoughts that hit your mind to Jesus
“In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one” Ephesians 6:16
Positive thoughts cannot cancel out negative thoughts – Rein in evil thoughts with faith words.
The only way to quench the fiery darts that come against the mind is to stand by faith and resist the devil with the word of God.
Irrespective of the circumstances, you can declare the truth of God concerning your life by faith:
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21)
I have the mind of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:16)”!
God lives in me! (Galatians 2:20)
I am fearfully and wonderfully made! (Psalm 139:14),
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)
The devil will try to fill your mind with thoughts of defeat to prevent you from embracing all that God has for you – do not allow those thoughts to take root. You can be all that God created you to be! You have all it takes to display His splendor!
As you go about your daily activities this week, meditate on the goodness of God and do not let any evil thought grow.
Do not entertain any thought of defeat – take control of your mind. You are God’s treasure!
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9
Have an amazing week!
